Scott Jansen is a senior development manager for Apex Clean Energy and brings over six years of experience in the industry, having worked on projects across the Midwest (in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota). Scott takes on many responsibilities at Apex, yet his ultimate focus is working with landowners to understand and appreciate their unique history and future with the land. When he is not busy accelerating the shift to clean energy, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their three girls in Wisconsin’s Lake Country. 

Gabe Goldberg is a project developer for Apex Clean Energy, working on several wind projects across downstate Illinois. A native of Massachusetts, he has been working in renewable energy project development since early 2019, having previously focused on solar projects across Florida, Georgia, and Maryland. He is passionate about building and maintaining strong relationships with all project stakeholders, and accelerating the transition to a cleaner energy future. Outside of work, Gabe enjoys rock climbing and getting outdoors as much as possible. He holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Northeastern University in Boston.

Ray Hoover is the Public Engagement Manager who leads Apex Clean Energy’s public and community engagement efforts for projects throughout Illinois. Ray holds a degree in Political Science and Communications from St. Cloud State University and has more than 15 years of experience in government and as a community organizer for nonprofits and campaigns. As a Public Engagement Manager, Ray works closely with local elected leaders, community leaders, landowners, and residents to gather local feedback, answer common questions, and work with communities to help realize their opportunities for renewable energy development. Ray lives in Minnesota with his wife Sarah and their cats, Pancake and Hashbrown.

Carolyn Mehta is the Field Manager for Lotus Wind. Over the past decade, Carolyn has managed a wide range of successful projects across the public and private sectors. Her career has been focused on promoting civic engagement and economic development. She has experience building public support for renewable energy projects across Illinois and she's passionate about creating economic opportunity for rural communities. She enjoys writing, singing, and walking her dog.
